I'm delighted to be putting on a course of 10 tutored life drawing classes with artists expert in each topic, which is different every week. Each one is standalone, and to save my poor brain trying to organise spreadsheets for discount block booking, I'm going to offer a Wednesday life drawing session for every 5 tutored classes attended.
(I'll give you a card to tick off at your first session, and if you fill the 5 stampy-spaces you can book a free ticket for any Wednesday session (there's an option for that here on Citizen Ticket), and give your ticked card back to me at the door.)
C L A Y
This session is led by the esteemed Duncan Robertson, who tutors at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop and the National Gallery. Clay is DELICIOUS - it slips and slides under your fingers in a most sensual way. Duncan will take us through the practicalities of working with clay - and how to begin capturing the mass and form of the figure whilst keeping proportion. You may find your drawing radically changes after the challenge of thinking about the body in three dimensions. The clay is air-drying - and please bring a large tupperware or box to take it home with you.
Because of Duncan's other commitments he is tutoring two clay classes in this first block of 5 - the first on the 17th Sept and the second on Oct 8th. The two poses will be different so you can come to both if you like.
To give you time to stuck in properly and give the tutor a few mins with each of you, these tutored sessions are limited capacity and slightly longer at 2 hours 15mins: 7pm -9.15pm at Summerhall's Anatomy Lecture Theatre. You're welcome to bring a bevvy in with you from the bar - alcoholic or non. (Brownie points for bringing a keep cup!). The ticket price for these sessions includes materials but feel free to bring your own favoured paraphernalia. We welcome all ages and stages. Any questions just ping me a message!

^^There's a supplement of £2 for the clay classes to cover the more expensive clay materials. The other classes are £12/10 each.
